Stephanie Hawkins has a great background in non profit and understands the value of our organization’s volunteers. As Meals at Home’s Volunteer Coordinator she is responsible for all volunteer matters from recruitment to recognition. She schedules more than 51 routes each week with as more than 250 volunteers.
Rita Weinberg has a BA, in sociology and a Masters in accounting. She joined Meals at Home in 2001, after working at Evanston Hospital and as bookkeeper and controller for North Center Dialysis Centers. Earlier, she was a Meals at Home volunteer for 17 years.
Debi Genthe served as the Executive Director and President of Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County, Wisconsin, a start up not for profit network of volunteers that quickly grew to serve more than 1,200 seniors annually with transportation, access to food, and other good neighbor deeds such as snow shoveling and grass cutting. Prior positions included many successes with the American Heart Association as an Area Director and later a Fund Raising Specialist. Her earlier positions were in for-profit management.
Suzanna Martin began as a volunteer in the Meals at Home office in 2015, but recently filled the Program Coordinator position. She places the daily food orders, maps all routes, and is the person volunteers call when a client isn’t home. Suzannah is also in real estate and has been a long time Evanston resident.
Meals at Home welcomes Mindy Scott as its first Development Coordinator.
Mindy’s most recent non profit experiences were with the Boys and Girls Club. She will be working on all fund raising events and individual donations to ensure Meals at Home’s funding keeps pace with its rapid program growth.
